Venez Ann Teeples Johnson was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great, Great Grandmother. She passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on the morning of August 17th in her daughter Brenda’s arms with her granddaughter Nycole near her side.
Venez was born November 22, 1928 to Arnold Sidney Teeples and Chloe McKee Teeples in Holden, Utah. She married her sweetheart and love of her life, William Clee Johnson on December 25, 1952 in Ely Nevada. They were later sealed in the Provo Temple for All Time and Eternity.
She grew up in Holden and graduated from Millard High School. She ran a small cafe in her hometown, worked for the ASCS office in Fillmore for twenty five years, and later was handpicked for a job in Washington DC for the United States Department of Agriculture. While working in DC, Venez received many accolades for her work as a software developer. She was a trail blazer in every aspect of her life.
A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints, she had devout love for the Lord Jesus Christ, her Temple work, church callings, and the steadfastness and pure love she held for her family, whom she adored.
Her greatest service was to her loving family. She is survived by her daughter Brenda, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband and son, as well as her dear sister’s Wanda and Elma, and dear brothers Garth and Darrell.
Mom will be missed dearly, but will be with us forever.
A viewing will be held Saturday morning August 28th from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM followed by funeral services at 1:00 PM in the Holden Ward Chapel. Interment will be in Holden Town Cemetery under the care of Olpin Stevens Funeral Home. Online condolences can be offered at www.olpinstevensfuneralhome.com.

We’re forever grateful for her granddaughter Nycole’s special loving care over the past two years and the help and support she provided to her grandmother and Mother.
We’d also like to thank Wendy Leatham for her help with caring for Mom. Joanne Larson for her love, care and always being there for Mom. A special thanks to Mom's dear, friends, neighbors,nieces and nephews. We would also like to thank McCall Bennett for being a true best friend to Grandma.
