Kanosh, Utah- Teodoro Ruvalcaba-Padilla, 70, passed away December 31, 2024, at Utah Valley Hospital. He was born on October 18, 1954, to the parents of Teodoro Ruvalcaba and Concepcion Padilla. He married Margarita Roman in Zacatecas Mexico.
Teodoro, also known as Ted by the community, traveled from his home country of Mexico to the Utah at the young age of 15 and settled in the small town of Kanosh, Utah. In Kanosh he worked as a ranch hand and farm worker for the late Taft Paxton and often would help the late Olaf George family ranch. Later, on his journey, he went to work for the mushroom farm in Fillmore, where he worked there for 33 years.
Ted received an education in Mexico to be an industrial mechanic. His skills proved to be valuable as he would become well known in the area for his mechanical abilities and electrical knowledge. Ted loved being up at the gold mines of Kimberley, Kanosh Canyon, and the Twin Peaks west desert. Deer hunting and fishing were outdoor activities he enjoyed doing and passed that love of outdoors on to his two boys.
He is survived by his wife Margarita and his two sons Alfonso and Ross. Ted’s brothers and sisters live in the states of Arkansas, California, Colorado, Illinois, Baja California (Mexico), Zacatecas (Mexico), and Mexico City Federal District . Grandkids are Christian Johnson (Lehi, UT), Bronson Charlson (Kanosh, UT), Reina Ruvalcaba-Sorensen (Cedar City, UT), and Alicia Ruvalcaba-Sorensen (Cedar City, UT).
