Roger C. Lister

February 21, 1938 — April 14, 2021

Delta, Utah – Roger C. Lister, 83, passed away Wednesday April 14, 2021.  He was born on February 21, 1938 in Delta, Utah to Elwin and Betty Works Lister.

Roger worked at Zions National Park as a teenager, went to night school and worked at Hercules, moved to California where he worked at Fairchild’s, then moved back to Delta working as an Appliance Technician for over 20+ years.  Everything was repairable in Dad’s life.  He considered the whole outdoors as his backyard and he wouldn’t have it any other way.  After retiring he had more time to enjoy fishing, camping, rock hounding, prospecting, and lapidary.

He was a very social person and befriended everyone he came in contact with.  He had an impact on so many lives that they became long lasting friendships.  He was the type of person that would stop what he was doing and would help anyone who asked for help.

He is survived by his former spouse Melva Daily of SLC, Utah , son Robert, daughter Sandra (Richard) Lister both of Delta, Utah and daughter Kristina (Ted) Campbell of Kiowa, Colorado; Six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; brother Ed (Nancy) Lister of Delta, Utah; sister Diane Philips of Boise, Idaho; and sister-in-law Sarah Lister of Delta, Utah.  Preceded in death by his parents and brother William Lister.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
