Patreecia Leavitt Thomas

Holden, Utah- Patreecia Leavitt Thomas, 75, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Ashford Care Center in Springville, Utah.  She was born March 7, 1942 in Payson, Utah to Clyne M & Louise Bowers Leavitt.  She married Frank Milton Thomas on September 17, 1960 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.

Patreecia was raised in Nephi, Utah.  She had a great childhood with an older brother and sister and a younger brother and sister.  She had a great best friend and she did most everything with her and had many great adventures, until she moved to Chino, California when she was 14.  They thought it was the end of the world.  But it wasn’t long after that, she met dashing Frank.  They had a great courtship.  She helped convert him to the LDS Church.  After they were married in the Los Angeles Temple they headed to BYU and the family was started soon after.   She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great cook she loved to garden, always had an afghan she was knitting, kept a very clean house, & loved to walk.  She was a brave lady and kept the house going while Frank was away on military assignments, including two wars.  She was an elegant, kind & sweet lady right up to the end.

She is survived by her husband Frank; 5 children:  Charles (Sarah Hubbell) Thomas of Hilo, Hawaii.  Kelly (Alberto) Vargas, of Provo, Utah; Becky (David) O’Neill of Holden, Utah; Daniel (Sandy) Thomas of Holden, Utah; Jamie (Brian) Durrant of Evanston, Wyoming; 20 grandchildren:  Hunter Thomas of Salt Lake City, UT; Ciara (Kevin) Slider of Lehi, UT; Shae (Ben) Pesceone of Salt Lake City, UT; Drake & Zander Hubbell; Alexis Vargas of Salt Lake City, UT; Christian Vargas of Provo, UT; Ellie (Wade) McGinnis of Lexington, KY; Thomas (Amanda) O’Neill of Rexburg, ID; Megan O’Neill, of Holden, UT; Jeffrey (Destany) Thomas of Evanston, WY; Rashae, Stephanie & Aaron Thomas of Holden, UT; Aubrey, Kallum & Kipton MacDougall; Shyanne, Sheridan & Madison Durrant of Evanston, WY; 4 great grandchildren: Sawyer & Harper Slider; Aria O’Neill & Cory Pesceone;  2 sisters: Bonnie(Lamar) Havens, Seattle, WA; Betty (Clair) Havens, Ontario, OR; 2 brothers: Wayne (Ruby) Leavitt Ontario, OR; David (Robert Balthasar) Leavitt of Long Beach, CA.

Preceded in death by her parents Clyne & Louise Leavitt.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 11:00 am in the Holden Ward Chapel.  A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:00 to 10:30 am also at the Holden Ward Chapel.  Interment will be at the Holden Town Cemetery under the care of Olpin Stevens Funeral Home.  Online Condolences can be offered at www.olpinstevensfuneralhome.com.
