Meadow, UT- Nathan Allen Erickson, age 21, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at the Timpanogos Hospital in Orem, UT. He was born on November 27, 1993 in Page, Arizona to Koni Elizabeth LeVasseur and Allen Ray Erickson.
Nathan spent most of his life growing up in Meadow, Utah. Nathan attended Millard High where he graduated in 2012 and he was an avid scout and received his Eagle award in 2011. Nathan loved to fish and go on deer hunts. He loved his family and always told his mother that he loved her before ever leaving the house.
Nathan loved to build with his hands. He could weld anything and could build antique cars from the ground up. He had an extreme love for Honda cars and his BMX bikes; trying to give his mom anxiety with every jump. Nathan loved his friends and family and forgave anyone who ever crossed him. He was so loving and caring and would give anyone the shirt off his back to help them. He had the most Christ like spirit I've ever encountered.
Nathan had heart disease and never let that stop him from being active. In the end that what took his life. Nathan loved to build skate boards and BMX bikes and loved helping his dad build cars. He loved the adventures that our family went on while he was growing up, going out in the desert looking for old car parts. Nathan also loved teaching kids how to long board and ride a bike. He was so patient. He attended snow college for a little over a year. Nathan wanted to be a school teacher and teach kids to weld. He would always say " I hope Ben Hunter's ready to retire when I'm done with school cause I'm taking his job." Ben Hunter meant the world to Nathan and I'm so thankful that Ben took time out of his daily life to include Nathan in what he was doing. He would want to thank Becka Hickmand and Bree Howard for taking care of him these last few months, right down to his last few hours. He had a strong love for you both. He loved you all and will be greatly missed by all.
Nathan is survived by his parents: Koni and Allen Erickson of Meadow; brother Dakkota Erickson of Meadow; sister Destynee O'Hara of Fillmore. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother DyAnn Hood, great-grandparents Leonard and Mima Erickson.
Funeral Services will be at the Meadow Ward Chapel on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at the Mountian View Cemetery in Beaver, Utah under the care of Olpin Stevens Funeral Home. Online condolences can be offered at www.olpinstevensfuneralhome.com.
