Madge Warner departed this mortal existence, Monday, January 20, 2020, in Fillmore, UT. She was born August 17, 1928, in Leamington, UT to loving parents, Oscar and Lottie Anderson. She was sealed for time and all eternity to Joseph Harold Warner on December 16th, 1946, in the Manti Temple, Manti, UT.
Joe and Madge were blessed with three beautiful children and built their life and home in Fillmore, UT.
Throughout her life, Madge was the consummate example of “do well thy part.” Hers was a life of loving service, support of the community, and righteous devotion. Never content to do anything halfway, she was the president of many community organizations including Fine Arts, Civic Arts, and the Millard County Housing Authority Board. At one time, her joint-owned sewing business, ReVieW Apparel, was the largest employer in Millard County.
When it came to her service in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she willingly accepted any call, a few of which included serving as the president of various stake and ward auxiliaries. But, by far, her favorite callings were that of Young Women President, ward chorister, and family history consultant. The work she did for her kindred dead, easily matched or even exceeded, the service she rendered the living.
Madge reveled in opportunities to teach. Whether it was showing young women how to lead the singing, 4-H participants how to sew, or grandchildren how to skateboard, she did it with patience and gusto.
Madge’s grand legacy and greatest achievement are her children, Ross (Linda) Warner of Fillmore, Connie (Scott) Drummond of Provo, and Joyce Tarbet of Fillmore, eleven grandchildren, forty-one great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and three foster children. She’ll also be missed by siblings Grant (Gwen) Anderson (SLC), Elaine Halsey (Kanosh), Paul (Joyce) Anderson (Draper), Oscar (Marie) Anderson (SLC), and Scott (Lorraine) Anderson (Boise, ID).
Madge was welcomed into her heavenly home by her parents Alma and Lottie Anderson, her loving husband Joe Warner, and her brothers and sisters-in-law Dwayne (Helen) Anderson, Harold (DeAun) Anderson, and Leo Halsey.
