Delta, Utah-Lynda Rae Hare, 72, Returned to her Heavenly Father Thursday, September 24, 2015 in Provo, Utah surrounded by her family. She was born March 29, 1943 to Fredrick D. And Ida Mae Brunson Nay. She Married Harvy K. Ross July 14, 1962 in Henderson, Nevada. They had 5 children: Shaunna, Leon, Cecil, Robyn, & Cheryl. They were later divorced.
Lynda was born in Richmond, California but was privileged to call many small Utah towns home, including Delta were she has lived for more than 50 years.
Lynda had many wonderful hobbies and talents, but was especially gifted in sewing and art. She could always be found sewing something for her children, grandchildren, friends, and neighbors right up to her passing. She also enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, playing softball with her girls, and baking. However her greatest joy was found in children, her own and everyone elses. She spent years doing day care, foster care, and working with the special needs children at the school.
She was a collector of teddy bears and teapots. Lynda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and held many callings in the church throughout her life. She loved the temple and her Heavenly Father.
She is very loved and will be missed by all.
She is survived by her children: Shaunna (Shawn) Maxfield of Delta, UT; Cecil Ross of Delta, UT; Robyn Ross, of Delta, UT; Cheryl (Sam) Nielson of Oak City, UT; Sisters: Vicki Newitt of Gilbert, AZ; Kay Fleming of Summerville, SC; Fern Smith of Helper, UT; Sherry Nay of Price, UT; Brothers: Gary Nay of Delta, UT; Charlie Nay of Duchesne, UT; Stepmother: Beverly Nay of Price, UT; 12 grandchildren & 10 great-grandchildren.
