Gordon Lee Hall, 90, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022 surrounded by his family in Meadow, Utah. He was born August 23, 1932 in Le Grande, Oregon to Walter Wallace and Elizabeth Pearl Lay Hall. He married Frances Leona Freeman in Salem, Oregon on October 8, 1954 later sealed on April 18, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Temple.
Gordon served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He attended BYU; after moving to Meadow he served as the Meadow Fire Chief and CERT committee member. He had many jobs including Defense industry technician, carpenter, landscaper and other construction related services. He enjoyed serving in the community and church, where he served in many stake and ward callings. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. He always enjoyed a good western! Especially ones with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood.
Gordon is survived by his wife; 6 children: Kem Hall of Bluffdale, UT; Julee (Chris) Findlay of Meadow, UT; Mark (Shannon) Hall of Vista, CA; Jeff (Krista) Hall of Farmington, UT; Gina (Rob) Ward of Santa Clara, UT; Devin (Katherine) Hall of Heber City, UT; one sister: Norma Woien, of Bend, OR; 25 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers: Gene, Gerald and Jack Hall.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 12:00 noon in the Meadow Ward Chapel. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 10:30 to 11:30 AM in the Meadow Ward Chapel. Interment with military honors will be in the Meadow Cemetery under the care of Olpin Stevens Funeral Home. Online condolences can be offered at www.olpinstevensfunerahome.com
