With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Gloria Garcia on November 27, 2024, as she was called to meet her Savior. Gloria was born and raised in El Cuidado, Tepetongo, Zacatecas on November 19, 1965, to the loving parents, Jose and Juana Martinez, alongside her 9 siblings. From a young age, she learned the values of hard work and love which would define her family life.

Gloria married the love of her life, Tony Garcia, on April 01, 1988. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Gloria was a passionate educator, earning her teaching degree at the Escuela Normal Manuel Ávila Camacho in Zacatecas, Mexico. She went on to share her gift of knowledge with others, enriching the lives of many.

Gloria’s heart was always devoted to her family. She cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, finding joy in nurturing her loved ones, especially through her cooking, which was a true expression of her love and care. She also found fulfillment in her work at the Great Lakes Cheese Plant, where she formed lasting friendships.

 She is survived by her devoted husband, Tony Garcia; son, Danny Garcia; daughter, Alejandra Garcia (and her husband, Chia Yang); and her beloved granddaughter, Zooey Yang. She is preceded in death by her cherished son, Elias Garcia, whose memory will forever remain in their hearts.

A viewing and rosary will be held on Friday, December 6th, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Olpin Stevens Funeral Home in Fillmore, UT. A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, December 7th, at 11:00 AM at the Catholic Church in Fillmore, located at 445 South 200 East. Following the service, Gloria will be laid to rest at the Meadow Cemetery under the care of Olpin Stevens Funeral Home.

 Gloria's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal love of her Savior.
