Geraldine Sperry

Geraldine Sperry, 73, passed away Monday on August 2, 2021, in Provo, Utah at the Utah Valley Hospital. She was born July 1, 1948, in Vernal, Utah to Gerald Clark and Ona Givens. Gerri moved to Spanish Fork, Utah in 1962 and attended Jr. high and high school where she met and married Gary Sperry on February 4, 1966, and had 4 children. In 1987 their family moved to Delta, Utah. Gerri was a very talented and creative person who had a passion for oil painting, floral arranging and crafts of all kinds. Gerri loved being around family and doing activities such as barbecuing, playing games, and visiting. She also had a "Green Thumb" and had a yard that was an oasis. Her yard was filled with flowers, rocks, waterfalls, shrubs and a gazebo, to be relaxing for all that came. She was also a collector of Betty Boop, dragonflies, fairies, owls and many other antiques. Gerri was a loving and dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them, always calling/texting on a daily basis. She especially loved her role as a wife, mother and grandmother. She had such a beautiful and loving bubbly personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends where ever she went. She was known for her kind and loving heart and ever-present smile with the greeting of "Hey Cutie."

Gerri is survived by her husband Gary; four children Robert (Dawna) Sperry of Elko, Nevada; Latisha(Mike) Swafford of Heber City, Utah: Matthew J. Sperry of Heber City, Utah; Brett James Sperry of Delta, Utah; Brothers: Jim (Susan) Allen and Rex (Mona) Allen, many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one more great-grandchild on the way.

She is preceded in death by her mother Ona Emms; Her brothers Bill and Benny: and her sisters Leona and Judy.

A viewing will be held August 9, 2021, at 10-10:45 at the Olpin Stevens Funeral Home in Delta, Utah. Followed by a graveside service at 11:00 at the Delta City Cemetery. Lunch will be at church after. Online condolences can be offered at www.olpinstevensfuneralhome.com.
