Diana Lynn Frantz Olson, age 61, returned to her son, Dallas, in spirit, on April 4, 2019, in Kanosh, Utah. She was born on December 28, 1957 in American Fork, Utah to Morris T. Frantz and Geraldine L. Bottorff Frantz. Diana married Lynn Olson of Salt Lake City, Utah. They later divorced but remained good friends.
Diana loved her two children, Dusty and Dallas; and her two grandsons, Kyler and Bradley Olson. They were the light of her life, and she was very devoted to their well-being. Diana always had a positive attitude toward life and its outcomes, and frequently stated, “This too shall pass.” She accepted all things that came before her and made the best of each situation, thinking not of herself, but of her family. Diana was smart, witty, kind, generous, nurturing, caring, and loving. She frequently checked in with family members and friends; all of whom she loved dearly, and would offer help to anyone in need, including strangers, with her words of inspiration and encouragement. She taught us to love life, and that life is good, even during hard times.
Diana was a very spiritual person; believing what you put out in the universe, you receive back. She was a beautiful, bright soul that radiated like a warm loving light. She was a mindful and peaceful person, and found a great deal of peace and serenity at her home in Kanosh, which she dearly loved. She opened her home to everyone, and became a second mother to many family members and friends.
Diana will be greatly missed, but will carry on her light and spirit in everyone she knew and touched. Her candles burned out long before her legend ever will.
Diana is survived by her loving partner, Shawna; daughter, Dusty; grandsons, Kyler and Bradley Olson; sisters, Denise (Grant) Fowkes and Dorene (Kasey)Elison; brother, David Murphy; father, Morris Frantz; Mike and Melissa Eyre, whom she considered her children; and many nieces and nephews.
Diana is preceded in death by her son, Dallas Olson; mother, Geraldine “Nanny” Frantz; sister, Julie Murphy; brother, Daniel Frantz; and good friend, Lynn Olson.
