It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend, Dale Evans.
Dale was born on February 20, 1968, in Monroeville, Alabama, to Marilyn Ann Roy Evans and John Corbin Evans. He was the second of three children and grew up surrounded by cousins who felt more like siblings.
Some of Dale’s fondest memories were spent with his Uncle Sonny, shrimping and fishing traditions that remained close to his heart throughout his life.
From an early age, Dale was immersed in the car business, learning the trade inside and out. At just 15 years old, he was already behind the wheel of a brand-new Mustang 5.0 demonstrator from the dealership, marking the beginning of his lifelong passion for cars. His deep knowledge and expertise in the industry served him well throughout his career.
Dale worked as an insurance adjuster before discovering his true calling in pipeline inspection. His work took him across the country, allowing him to experience new places and form lasting friendships along the way.
On his 57th birthday, February 20, 2025, Dale was involved in a tragic head-on collision. Despite this heartbreaking loss, his legacy of kindness, warmth, and generosity will live on through the many lives he touched.
Dale is survived by his loving wife, Jane Nielson, and his children: Brandon Evans, John Corbin (Anna) Evans, Cooper Evans and Gavin Nielson. He was a proud grandfather to Auburn Evans and Cyrus Evans. He is also survived by his brother, Robert (April) Evans, and his sister, Becki (Chris) Thorne, along with many extended family members and dear friends who loved him deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marilyn Roy Evans and John Corbin Evans.
Dale will be remembered for his kindness, his southern charm and manners, and unwavering devotion to his family. His presence touched so many lives, and he will be profoundly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to support Jane and Gavin during this difficult time.
