Connie Elizabeth Lancaster, 50, of Fillmore, Utah and a dedicated CNA, passed away at Fillmore Community Hospital on Friday, July 12th, surrounded by family and friends.
Connie was born at Balboa Navy Hospital in San Diego, CA to Melvin Lancaster and Gloria Kay Hansen. She was the youngest of four siblings. She graduated from Grossmont High School and attended Grossmont Community College. Her first job was living with developmentally disabled adults and helping them live independently.
When our father’s health began to fail, she quit working to take care of him full time. She eventually moved him up to Fillmore, to be closer to family. After our father passed away, she was able to find work as a CNA at Fillmore Community Hospital. She loved working there. She loved her coworkers and loved being the one to care for any new cousins that came into the world.
Connie loved to attend concerts, she loved to try new foods, and she loved going on adventures with her friends and family. It could be something as simple as a drive over to Richfield, or a trip to Hawaii. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed attending the temple.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Kay and Melvin Lancaster. She is survived by her siblings Jerome Lancaster, Valorie Lancaster, Glenn Lancaster, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 17th at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 290 E 500 S, Fillmore, UT 84631. The viewing will be at 10am and the service will begin at 11am. She will be interred in California, next to her parents. Online condolences can be offered at www.olpinstevensfuneralhome.com..
