Colleen B. Johnson

February 6, 1936 — July 13, 2020

Colleen B. Johnson left this earthly life to be in the hands of our Lord almighty and be reunited with her devoted husband, Junior Kirk Johnson and many friends and family on July 13 2020, from a sudden cardiovascular collapse at age 84 in the care of her children in Elsinore, Utah.

She was born on Feb. 6, 1936 to Carl Winter Bennett and Adelaide Bagshaw Bennett in Delta, Utah.

Colleens greatest joy in life was making others happy, which she excelled at.

She always had a welcoming home for all that wanted to visit or come for an extended stay.

In earlier years she loved going to rodeos and supporting her husband who was a bareback bronk rider, where they made many lifelong friends and traveled to many places in the Western United States.

Colleen and her husband called Holden, Utah home for many years and together raised three children.

Her dear husband was taken early from this life at just 49 years of age but Colleen persevered until her health began to fail. She then moved in with her daughter Lisa, who with the help of her siblings cared for her for the remainder of her life.

Colleen was a lifelong member of the LDS church.

She is survived by sons Jimmy Kirk Johnson, Monroe Utah; David Carl Johnson, Elsinore Utah; and Lisa Johnson Spencer, Elsinore, Utah along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; siblings Arnola Fullmer, Fillmore Utah; Evelyn Teeples, Holden Utah and Carol Amann, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Proceeded in death by husband Junior Kirk Johnson, siblings Carl Dee Bennett, brother, Donneta Ruth Kelly, sister, and infant baby daugter.

We love you Mom and you will be greatly missed. Until we meet again, God speed. Families are forever.

A graveside service will be at the Holden Town Cemetery on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 9:00 AM.
