Bonnie Edwards Hone, of Meadow, Utah, passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 87.
Bonnie Hone lived life as if it was an adventure full of challenges to be met. Whether it was heading off to college, traveling to Germany as a young woman with a baby, opening one of the first take-home Harman’s KFC, loving and nurturing grandchildren, or making pottery, she approached it with zest and a smile.
Bonnie was an excellent athlete who skied with the pros at Park City, won the State Golf Championship in New Mexico, and loved flyfishing the big rivers in Montana.
Bonnie’s children and grandchildren will remember her spicy sense of humor, sassy spirit, devotion to family, elegant style, and of course, her delicious holiday meals.
She was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple to her husband of 67 years, Ronald Garn Hone. They have four daughters that have inherited all of her traits but one; Ronda McQuade and husband Ronnie Garner, Laura Hone, Stephanie Hone, Jennifer Friedman and husband Jeff. The Cardshark’s grandchildren are Jamie, Laura and husband Ben, Ronnie and wife Angela, Joseph, Stephen and wife Chani, Erica and husband Brian, Carly, Travis Garner and partner Jenna, and Logan Garner; great grandchildren Maya, Aarav, Charlie, Brendan, Connor, and Rowan; and brother Glayde Edwards and wife Donna.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 31, in Meadow, Utah. Time and location to be determined. Online condolences can be offered at www.olpinstevensfuneralhome.com.
