B. Dean Gilson

July 30, 1932 — July 14, 2016

Buddy Dean Gilson, 83, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away at his home Thursday, July 14, 2016 holding Maurine’s hand.  Dean was born July 30, 1932 in  Eureka, Utah to Glen Gilson and Ruth Sudweeks Gilson Thorton.

Dean attended high school in Eureka, Utah and attended BYU after serving in the Air Force.  Dean was also the president of the Delta Rotary Club.  Dean & Marine lived in Boise, ID., San Antonio, TX., Salt Lake City, UT., Delta, UT., and retired in Fillmore, UT.

Dean is survived by his eternal companion Maurine Grygla Gilson; seven children: Joni, Dennis, Paula, David, Linda, Wendy and Gareld; six step-children:  Kathleen, Bob, Steven, Brian, Randy, and Darrell; 7 Sisters:  Glenna, Sally, Judy, Genie, Bonnie, Pat & Nancy; brother: Bill.  He was preceded in death by his brothers and friend Ray Gilson just two years ago, Larry & Mike.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Fillmore Stake Center.  A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:45 am at the Stake Center. The American Legion post and Utah National Guard will be providing Military Honors following the services at the Stake Center.  Online Condolences can be offered at www.olpinstevensfuneralhome.com.
